Open a private, temporary text room and invite participants with a secure link or access code. Message content and temporary nicknames are encrypted in participating browsers before relay.

A bounded private room
Access is shared deliberately, not discovered through a public feed.
NOW2CHAT does not publish rooms in a directory or build a follower network. The creator shares a generated invitation with the intended participants. The access code stays in the participating browser; the server receives a derived proof and room locator instead of the original code.
The browser derives the message key with HKDF-SHA-256 and encrypts message content and temporary nicknames using AES-256-GCM. The host can mute guests, start new guests muted and close the room. These controls improve practical privacy, but they do not verify who is behind a nickname or stop an invited participant from copying content.

Send the invitation
Share the secure link or access code only with the adults you intend to invite.
Use host controls
Mute or unmute guests when needed, then close the room or let it expire.
Clear boundaries
Privacy without impossible promises.
Browser-side encryption protects readable content from the relay in the intended client, but it does not provide verified identity, Signal-style forward secrecy or absolute security.
Participants can copy or record what they see, and internet infrastructure still processes ordinary connection metadata. Read the Privacy Policy for the complete model.
