These Terms govern access to NOW-2-CHAT. By using any part of the service, including as a guest, you confirm that you have read and accepted them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility — adults only

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these Terms. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to use NOW-2-CHAT. You are responsible for ensuring that use of the service is lawful in your location.

2. Description of the service

NOW-2-CHAT provides temporary, text-only chat rooms without account registration. A room may be entered through a secure link or access code, closes after the selected duration or when the creator ends it, and does not provide server-side message recovery.

3. Your responsibility

You are responsible for the messages you send, the access codes you share, the people you invite and the security of your device. Nicknames are self-selected and are not proof of identity. Confirm identities through a separate trusted channel before relying on a participant's statements.

4. Acceptable use

Use the service only for lawful, respectful and responsible temporary communication. You must have the right to share any information you transmit and must respect the privacy, consent, intellectual property and legal rights of others.

5. Prohibited conduct

You must not use NOW-2-CHAT to exploit or endanger minors, threaten or harass people, facilitate violence, share unlawful or non-consensual content, impersonate others, disclose private information without permission, commit fraud, distribute malware or phishing material, spam, advertise without authorization, infringe rights, or organize illegal activity.

You must not use bots, scripts or automated tools to enumerate rooms, scrape the service, overload infrastructure, bypass rate limits, evade restrictions, reverse-engineer security controls or interfere with another person's use.

6. Enforcement, suspension and blocking

Misuse may result in request rejection, room closure, rate limiting, temporary suspension or permanent blocking through application or Cloudflare security controls. Severe, repeated or unlawful misuse may be reported to relevant service providers or authorities when required or permitted by law. Attempts to bypass a restriction may lead to broader blocking.

7. Encrypted content and moderation limits

The server is not designed to read chat messages. This privacy feature also limits proactive content moderation and message recovery. A room creator may mute or unmute guests, but cannot read hidden content, verify identity or prevent participants from retaining what they see. Users should leave a room immediately if they feel unsafe and use the Contact page to report service-level abuse. Do not assume that the operator can retrieve chat content after the room ends.

8. Room expiration and data loss

Rooms are intentionally temporary. Messages may be lost because of expiration, refresh, network interruption, browser closure, device failure or service error. The service does not guarantee delivery, continuity, recovery or archival retention.

9. Security limitations

Encryption protects content from the application's server components when the official, unmodified client is used. It does not prevent another participant from copying messages, sharing the access code, taking screenshots or using a compromised device. The service does not provide verified identity or Signal-style forward secrecy.

10. No emergency, professional-record or high-risk use

NOW-2-CHAT must not be used for emergency services, crisis response, medical diagnosis, legal notices, financial instructions, legally mandated recordkeeping or any situation that requires guaranteed availability, identity verification or a permanent audit trail.

11. Intellectual property

You retain rights in content you lawfully create. You grant the service a narrow, temporary permission to process and transmit encrypted packets solely to provide the room. The NOW-2-CHAT name, logo, interface, code and original site content may not be copied, sold or commercially exploited without authorization, except as permitted by applicable law or an applicable software license.

12. Third-party infrastructure

The service relies on Cloudflare and internet, browser and email providers. Those providers operate under their own terms. NOW-2-CHAT is not responsible for outages, filtering, retention or security practices outside the application's reasonable control.

13. Service changes and termination

Features, limits and availability may change. The operator may suspend or discontinue all or part of the service, reject a room or terminate connections to protect users, infrastructure, legal compliance or service integrity.

14. Disclaimer

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. No warranty is made that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely anonymous, suitable for a particular purpose or immune from unauthorized access.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost messages, lost opportunities, actions of other users, copied content, unauthorized access, service interruptions or reliance on temporary communications. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Changes and severability

Updated Terms may be published with a revised date. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
